The media have called her the "horror queen" due to her part in horror movies. From 2012 to 2017, she was a part-time actress as Marnie Micheals on HBO's drama-comedy show Girls. Her character was nominated in the Critics' Choice Award. Her breakout came from her role as Rose Armitage in the horror film Get Out (2017), that earned her nominations from The MTV Movie Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards among other accolades.
