Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actress who was famous for the role of Buffy Summers. Her other parts include Rebecca Becky Granger, in the Telefilm Nightingales & the short lived NBC show of the same name; Erica Paget as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. Born in California, Swanson discovered her love for acting when an infant. Her career began as an advertising professional, appearing in a variety of commercials. In 1984 she made her debut in a screen show of the sitcom on NBC called It's Your Move. In 1986 she debuted in an edgy romantic comedy titled Pretty in Pink. Known for her blonde hairlispand breathless voiceSwan is now playing secondary characters in the past few years. Flowers in the Attic earned her the Young Artist Award in the Horror or Mystery Motion Picture category in 1989.
