April Lockhart was born on July 4 1995 in seventh grade. She began playing the guitar as well as taking piano classes, which ignited her passion for writing songs. When she was in seventh grade she began to take guitar and piano lessons. The lessons sparked her passion in songwriting. The year she turned 14 was when she spent a lot of time in making song lyrics and working on her musical skills. Soon, April began to take trips to NY and LA with her Dad in order for them both to write songs. April also began to include different topics related to some of her classmates who struggle with issues such as bullying by peers and teenage suicide as depicted in the song"Take my Hand. Lockhart has become a sought-after lifestyle blogger and having partnerships with clean-cut beauty brands Ilia she has gained an impressive following. Her birth was without a left hand and that is part of her story, but it's hardly her whole story. Lockhart doesn't deny her disability on Instagram, but she doesn't make it the focus of it.
