The mother of two is a Mexican by blood but an American nationality. Her entire life has been an avid sportsperson. Gerina began to play golf at the age of 15. Gerina has graduated from Goddard High School. As a high-school student she was the winner of the New Mexico Golf State Tournament. A volleyball player, she participated in state championships.
